Measure Anything with Rhombus Insights

To date, it’s been nearly impossible for companies to answer basic questions about their physical operations without involving a human. Those questions might range from:
- Is there a lifeguard on duty?
- How many parking spots are free?
- Is there anything obstructing the door?
- How many forklifts are on the warehouse floor?
- How full are the shelves with inventory?
That changes today with Rhombus Insights.
Now, almost any question you can ask, can be indexed, alerted upon, and reported upon. What this unlocks is a near-endless amount of information about your organization that you can collect and take action upon in real-time without added headcount or additional coding/training of custom models.
How does it work?
To start using Rhombus Insights, a user simply navigates to a camera within the Rhombus Console, creates a prompt on what to measure, how to measure the response (number, percentage, or true/false), and how often to measure.
The wizard then helps the user validate the prompt and ensure that it is focused on the correct region.
Once the custom event has been setup, data from that event is collected which can be visualized in a number of ways. That data is exportable and also accessible via the Rhombus API’s.
Alerting on Custom Events
Beyond reporting, there are often events where organizations need instant notifications. In the past, some of these events were more nuanced which either meant customers needed to train custom models (very expensive!) or have people monitor the video 24/7 (even more expensive!).
Now with Rhombus Insights, whenever one of these events occurs, organizations can receive real-time alerts. Examples of alerts companies might want are:
- Are there more than 5 people in line?
- Is someone laying on the ground?
- Is someone climbing the fence?
- Are people fighting?
- Is the pipe leaking?
Once one of these alerts is generated, an email, text message, or push notification is sent to the designated end users.
Beyond alerts, custom actions can be triggered when an event occurs like playing audio, triggering a Relay to a 3rd party device (turning on a siren, light, alarm, etc), and more. The goal is that customers can configure all types of workflows depending on the types of events that occur.
How do you get Rhombus Insights?
An organization must be a Rhombus customer and configure an LLM of their choice. If they choose the Rhombus provided one, then they will be billed monthly for its usage (token based). Otherwise, a company can select another LLM of their choice including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Grok, and more (must have an existing account with one of these providers).
At launch, Rhombus Insights is in limited beta, so you must first reach out to your sales representative to enable this new feature on your account.
We look forward to you measuring everything about your physical operations with Rhombus Insights!
