Generate a Daily Security Briefing for Your CISO — Automatically

Rhombus + Claude Series — Tying Into the Enterprise

Somewhere in your security organization, someone spends the first 45 minutes of every morning assembling an overnight briefing for leadership. They pull alerts from one system, incidents from another, on-call escalations from a third. They format it, they send it, and then their actual day begins.

This is the kind of work AI was built to eliminate. It’s structured. It’s repetitive. It requires judgment, but not the kind of judgment that needs a human. And yet, in most organizations, it’s still a daily tax paid by one of the most skilled people on the team.

The reason this persists isn’t that nobody’s tried to automate it. It’s that the source systems don’t connect — so any automation becomes its own integration project, which never rises above the backlog.

Rhombus, ServiceNow, PagerDuty, and email platforms all expose APIs. An AI agent that can call all of them doesn’t need an integration project. It just needs a prompt.

For the developers:

With Claude and the Rhombus plugin, the daily briefing is a single scheduled prompt:

“Every weekday at 6 AM, generate an overnight security briefing: Rhombus alerts since 6 PM yesterday, ServiceNow incidents, PagerDuty escalations, and restricted-area access events. Email it to the security leadership list.”

Claude pulls from each source, correlates everything, writes the briefing, and sends it — before anyone on the team is awake.

The payoff: The daily briefing stops costing you a headcount. Your senior analyst reclaims the morning. Leadership still gets the report — arguably a better one, because it’s consistent, correlated, and delivered on time. And the pattern scales: once the briefing is automated, the weekly, monthly, and quarterly versions are the same prompt on a different schedule.
